Candice Roquemore is the Richmond Public Schools Coordinator for the SEELLS Grant. Ms. Roquemore has previously worked on several grants as a research interviewer in the Psychology department at Virginia Commonwealth University and has served as a study coordinator for over 10 clinical trials at Dominion Clinical Research. Additionally, Ms. Roquemore has worked as a site coordinator for a K-3 YMCA literacy program based in NYC public schools.

Candice Roquemore received her Master’s degree in Psychology from Virginia State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Hampton University. She is also a certified rater on psychiatric rating scales for ADHD, Anxiety and Depression. Her research interest is in the area of how cognitive ability and learning environment (home and school) act as a predictor of early literacy amongst children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
