I hold an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and a Master of Teaching Degree from Mary Baldwin College. I came to PEELLS from Michigan where I was a Literacy Coach with an EARLY Reading First Grant at a college in Grand Rapids. I was also an Instructor in the Child Development Department at the College.

I have worked as the Child Development Services Manager for Head Start in Charlottesville, Virginia. I was on the staff of Albemarle High School and taught in the Summer Preschool Program at St. Anne's-Belfield in Charlottesville. I have also taught elementary and middle school.
