Allison Lee is a Literacy Coach. Ms. Lee joins SEELLS after teaching in Miami-Dade (Florida) County’s Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities. There she taught in a Reverse Mainstream setting for 10-12 children with various disabilities and 2 role model children. Using High/Scope, Conscious Discipline, and Building Early Language and Literacy curriculums, she enjoyed the challenges and rewards of creating adaptations, infusing assistive technology, focusing on individual children, and working with families. Before teaching in Miami, she taught in a toddler room at Killian Montessori (Pinecrest, FL) and worked in various roles for Shenandoah Valley Head Start (Virginia).
Ms. Lee received her Masters in Education with a major in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Her bachelor’s degree is in Social Work from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She currently resides in Hanover County with her husband, Andy, and their two children, Abby (3 years old) and Drew (1 year old).
