I attended Virginia Commonwealth University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Education in Early Childhood Special Education. I was previously employed with New Kent County Public Schools and Hanover County Public Schools where I taught Early Childhood Special Education for eight years. Most recently, I have been employed with Virginia Commonwealth University where I worked as an Early Childhood Special Education Specialist on an Early Reading First Grant called Richmond Early Reading First. I am currently employed with Virginia’s second Early Reading First grant called Partnership for Excellence in Early Language and Literacy Skills where I work as a Literacy Coach for teachers in the Head Start and Virginia Preschool Initiative programs in Richmond City Public Schools.
